Lire le guide complet

Le guide complet est en anglais.

Recommend what you believe in.

  • Get paid when it sells.
  • You already tell people:
  • "Take this course."
  • "Read this book."
  • "Go to this event."
  • "Add this to your learning path."
  • The person you recommended it to might buy.
  • The creator who made it gets paid.
  • You usually get nothing.
  • Plug changes that.

Recommend another creator's product on Klairova and, if your recommendation produces a sale, you earn the commission the owner has set.

  • No affiliate application.
  • No waiting to be accepted.
  • No separate affiliate dashboard.
  • Just recommend it.

The idea

Creators are already selling each other's work.

  • Just informally.
  • A creator publishes a course.
  • Another creator tells their audience about it.
  • Someone asks:
  • "What's the best course for learning this?"
  • They send the link.
  • A creator writes:
  • "If you want to get better at this, read this book."
  • Someone buys it.
  • A creator says:
  • "These are the three events I'd attend if I were starting out."
  • People buy tickets.
  • The recommendation moved the sale.
  • But the person who made the recommendation usually gets nothing.
  • Plug turns that recommendation into a commercial relationship.
  • The creator who made the product sets the commission.
  • Another creator recommends it.
  • Someone buys.
  • The product owner makes the sale.
  • The person who helped make that sale gets their share.
  • Everyone benefits.

This is not just an affiliate programme

  • Traditional affiliate marketing often works like this:
  • Find a programme.
  • Apply.
  • Wait.
  • Get approved.
  • Open another dashboard.
  • Generate a link.
  • Copy it.
  • Paste it somewhere.
  • Wait for the sale.
  • Wait for the payout cycle.
  • Hope you crossed the minimum threshold.

Plug is built into the products people are already creating and buying on Klairova. If a creator has enabled Plug for a product, you can recommend it. You don't need the owner to personally invite you. You don't need to apply to a programme. You don't need to negotiate a commission. The owner has already set the rate.

Recommend while you sell your own

This is where Plug becomes especially useful.

  • You are publishing a course.
  • While someone is deciding whether to buy it, you might also want to say:
  • "Want to go deeper? Add Sarah's course too."
  • Or:
  • "Read this book before you start."
  • Or:
  • "Join this event after you finish the course."
  • Or:
  • "Here are three other courses I'd recommend."
  • Those recommendations don't have to compete with what you're selling.
  • They can make what you're selling more useful.

And when someone buys one of those products through your recommendation, you can earn a commission.

Build a learning path

Imagine you're a new creator.

  • You have just launched your first course.
  • You aren't famous.
  • You don't have a huge audience.
  • There are already established courses on Klairova selling thousands of copies.
  • Instead of pretending those courses don't exist, you can build around them.
  • Create a learning path.
  • Add your course.
  • Then add three strong courses from creators people already know.
  • Someone looking for that subject discovers the learning path.
  • They see the established courses.
  • They see yours.
  • They see how the pieces fit together.

If they buy the products you plugged, you earn the commission attached to those sales. The other creators earn from their products. And your course gets discovered by people who may not have found it otherwise.

That's the network effect.

The person who owns the product sets the commission

You don't decide what someone else's product is worth.

  • The owner does.
  • If they want to offer:
  • 5%
  • 10%
  • 15%
  • 20%
  • or another rate,
  • they set it.

You see the commission available before you plug the product. That gives the owner control over their margins. And it tells the recommender exactly what they stand to earn.

The buyer doesn't pay more

This matters.

The person buying the course doesn't pay an extra fee because they came through your Plug. If the course costs ₦50,000, it still costs ₦50,000. The commission comes out of the seller's share. The recommendation creates a sale. The seller gives an agreed portion of that sale to the person who generated it.

The customer doesn't have to think about any of this.

You don't need to ask

If a product has Plug enabled, you can recommend it.

  • No:
  • "Can I become your affiliate?"
  • No:
  • "Please approve my application."
  • No:
  • "Can you generate a referral link for me?"
  • No:
  • "How long does your affiliate programme take?"
  • Create the Plug.
  • Share it.
  • The system handles the attribution.

The recommendation lasts beyond the click

People don't always buy immediately.

  • Someone reads your recommendation on Monday.
  • Clicks.
  • Gets distracted.
  • Thinks about it.
  • Comes back two weeks later.
  • Buys.
  • The recommendation remains attributable for 30 days from the click.
  • So Plug isn't built around:
  • "They had to buy within the next five minutes."
  • It gives a genuine recommendation time to work.

It also works when payment isn't immediate

A buyer can click your recommendation and pay later.

That payment might happen through a bank transfer. Or another payment method where confirmation happens later. The attribution is attached to the payment rather than depending entirely on the original browser session. So the sale can still be credited to the recommendation even when payment confirmation happens later.

The sale has to be for the thing you recommended

This keeps Plug fair.

  • You recommend:
  • Sarah's Photography Course.
  • Someone clicks your Plug.

They buy Sarah's Photography Course. You earn the commission. But if they use the same journey to buy an unrelated product, that doesn't automatically become your commission. The attribution belongs to the specific product you recommended.

That makes the economics clear for both sides.

For people who recommend

Plug gives you another way to monetise an audience without having to create another product.

  • You can earn from:
  • Courses.
  • Books.
  • Events.
  • Memberships.
  • Other supported Klairova products.
  • You don't need to own the product.
  • You don't need to be an affiliate marketer.
  • You simply need to believe the product is worth recommending.

For people who sell

Plug gives your product more distribution.

  • You can enable a commission.
  • Other creators can recommend your product.
  • They bring it to audiences you may never have reached yourself.
  • You pay commission only when a recommendation produces a sale.
  • So you don't have to spend money upfront hoping a promotion works.
  • The product sells first.
  • Then the commission is paid.

For creators who do both

Most creators eventually sit on both sides.

  • You sell your own course.
  • You recommend someone else's course.
  • You publish your own book.
  • You plug another creator's book.
  • You run your own event.
  • You recommend another event.
  • You earn from your products.
  • You earn from the products you successfully recommend.
  • Plug makes those two sides work together.

How it works

From recommendation to commission

A creator enables Plug

The product owner turns on Plug for their product. They choose the commission rate.

You find something worth recommending

Find a course, book, event, membership or other supported product that has Plug enabled.

Create your Plug

Generate your recommendation link. No application. No owner approval.

Put it where your audience already is

  • Share it in:
  • A post.
  • Your newsletter.
  • Your Link in Bio.
  • A Faction.
  • A course.
  • A learning path.
  • A video description.

Anywhere your recommendation makes sense.

Someone clicks

The recommendation is recorded.

They buy

If they purchase the specific product within the 30-day attribution window, the sale is credited to your Plug.

You earn

The product owner's commission rate is applied. Your commission is credited to your Wallet when the sale completes.

Keep recommending

There is no need to stop at one product. Your audience can discover useful products from multiple creators.

Three ways to use Plug

Recommend products while publishing your own

You're publishing a course about starting a photography business. You know three other courses that would genuinely help someone at different stages. So you recommend them alongside yours.

  • "Start here."
  • "Then take this."
  • "Then use this one."
  • Your course still sells.

The other creators' courses sell. And you earn a commission when your recommendations produce those sales. Your product becomes part of a bigger ecosystem rather than trying to be everything itself.

Build a learning path around your new course

  • You're a new creator with a strong course but a small audience.
  • You build a learning path around the subject.
  • Your course is included.
  • You also include established courses that already have demand.

Someone discovers the learning path because they're looking for the established course. They see yours as part of the same path. Now your course can be discovered through another creator's existing demand. If people buy the courses you recommend, you earn Plug commission. If another creator plugs your course, you earn from their recommendation too.

That's the network.

Monetise the recommendations you already make

  • You run a Faction for young designers.
  • Members constantly ask:
  • "What book should I read?"
  • "Which course should I take?"
  • "Which event should I attend?"
  • You already have answers.
  • Instead of dropping ordinary links into the community, use Plug.

Now useful recommendations can become another revenue stream without changing the advice you're already giving.

Plug + Campus

Campus is where creators build and sell courses.

  • Plug is how those courses can travel beyond the creator who made them.
  • A course owner enables Plug.
  • Another creator recommends it.
  • Someone buys.
  • The creator who made the course earns from the sale.
  • The creator who recommended it earns the commission.
  • One product.
  • Two participants in the sale.
  • That is the network effect Plug creates.

Plug + Imprint

Books are naturally recommended.

  • Someone says:
  • "You need to read this."
  • Plug turns that recommendation into something measurable.
  • Recommend the book.
  • Someone buys.
  • The author earns.
  • You earn the agreed commission.
  • And the reader still pays the same price.

Plug + Events

Events are another natural recommendation.

  • A creator can recommend:
  • A conference.
  • A workshop.
  • A masterclass.
  • A meetup.
  • An experience.

If the event owner has enabled Plug and the recommendation produces a sale, the recommender earns their commission.

Plug + Factions

Communities are built around recommendations.

  • Members ask what to read.
  • What to learn.
  • Where to go.
  • Who to follow.
  • What to buy.

Faction gives you the community. Plug gives useful recommendations a commercial layer. And the Faction owner can recommend products without needing to create all of them themselves.

Plug + Link in Bio

Your Link in Bio is one of the simplest places to recommend products.

  • Instead of:
  • "My favourite courses."
  • with ordinary links,
  • you can turn those recommendations into Plugs.
  • Someone clicks.
  • They buy.
  • You earn.

Plug + Wallet

Plug earnings don't disappear into a separate affiliate dashboard.

  • They enter your Klairova Wallet.
  • Your course revenue.
  • Book revenue.
  • Event revenue.
  • Client payments.
  • Plug commissions.
  • The financial layer stays connected.
  • And when you're ready to withdraw, Payouts handles the movement to your bank.

Plug + splits

Plug and Splits are not the same thing.

Plug

You recommended something you did not make.

Splits

  • You helped make the product.
  • For example:
  • You create a course with another creator.
  • You both agree on a 60/40 revenue split.
  • That's Splits.
  • Then another creator recommends that course to their audience.
  • That's Plug.
  • One sale can involve both.
  • The Plug commission is applied first.

Then the remaining amount is divided between the product owners according to their Splits.

Nobody gets paid twice for the same role.

Plug vs traditional affiliate programmes

Plug isn't trying to recreate the affiliate industry.

It makes recommendations native to the creator economy Klairova is building.

Before you use Plug

A few things to know.

  • ONLY RECOMMEND THINGS YOU WOULD ACTUALLY RECOMMEND.
  • Your audience trusts your judgement.
  • Don't spend that trust for a commission.
  • COMMISSION IS SET BY THE PRODUCT OWNER.
  • You don't choose the rate for somebody else's product.
  • The owner decides what they are willing to pay.
  • THE WINDOW IS 30 DAYS.

If someone clicks today and buys more than 30 days later, that sale is outside the attribution window. THE COMMISSION IS FOR THE SPECIFIC PRODUCT. Someone clicking your Plug and buying something unrelated does not automatically make that second purchase yours. THE BUYER DOESN'T PAY MORE. The commission comes out of the seller's share.

  • PLUG IS NOT A CAMPAIGN.
  • A Campaign is a brand-led commercial engagement with agreed terms and a brief.
  • Plug is a recommendation you make yourself.
  • YOU DON'T NEED TO BE POPULAR.
  • You don't need millions of followers.
  • A small audience that trusts your recommendations can be commercially valuable.
  • THE PRODUCT OWNER PAYS ONLY WHEN THE RECOMMENDATION WORKS.
  • There is no upfront commission bill just for enabling Plug.
  • A sale has to happen first.

Why Klairova

The creator economy shouldn't only reward the person who makes the product.

  • It should also recognise the people who help good products travel.
  • A course becomes useful to more people because someone recommended it.
  • A book finds its reader because someone said:
  • "You should read this."
  • An event fills more seats because somebody told their audience to attend.
  • A creator's audience can become another creator's distribution.
  • And that distribution has value.
  • Plug gives that value a system.
  • Creators can make products.
  • Creators can recommend products.
  • Creators can earn from both.
  • And the more creators participate, the more useful the network becomes.
  • You don't need to become an affiliate marketer.
  • You don't need another dashboard.
  • You don't need to ask anyone for permission.
  • Find something worth recommending.
  • Plug it.
  • Share it.
  • If it sells, you get paid.

FAQ

What is Plug?

Plug lets you recommend another creator's or brand's supported Klairova product and earn a commission when your recommendation produces a sale.

What can I Plug?

The current product supports courses, books, events, memberships and other supported Klairova products whose owners have enabled Plug.

Do I need permission to Plug something?

No. If the product owner has enabled Plug and set a commission, you can recommend it without applying or waiting for approval.

Who sets the commission?

The owner of the product sets the commission rate.

Can I set the commission for my own product?

Yes. If you own a supported product, you can enable Plug and set the rate you are willing to pay for recommendations that generate sales.

Does the buyer pay more because I used Plug?

No. The buyer pays the normal product price. The commission comes out of the seller's share.

How long do I get credit for a recommendation?

The attribution window is 30 days from the click.

What if someone clicks today and buys two weeks later?

You can still receive the commission if they purchase the specific product within the 30-day attribution window.

What if they buy a different product?

The Plug commission applies to the specific product you recommended. A different purchase is not automatically attributed to your Plug.

What if the buyer pays by bank transfer?

The attribution is attached to the payment rather than depending only on the original browser session, so a payment that confirms later can still be attributed to the recommendation.

When do I get paid?

Your commission is credited to your Wallet when the sale completes.

Is there a minimum payout threshold?

The current Plug specification says there is no minimum threshold before the commission is credited.

Do I have to wait for a monthly affiliate payout?

No. The commission is credited when the sale completes rather than being held for a separate affiliate payout cycle.

It goes into your Klairova Wallet alongside your other Klairova earnings.

You pay when their recommendation produces a sale.

What if no one sells my product through Plug?

You don't pay a Plug commission when there is no attributed sale.

Can a creator make money from Plug without having their own product?

Is Plug the same as a brand campaign?

No. A Campaign is a commercial engagement initiated by a brand with agreed deliverables and terms.

Plug is an independent recommendation.

Can a Plug be part of a campaign?

It can be used as a distribution mechanism where supported, but it should not be confused with the campaign's agreed creator compensation and deliverables.
