La guía completa está en inglés.

Agree it.

  • Put it in writing.
  • Get it signed.
  • The deal is already agreed.
  • The deliverables.
  • The timeline.
  • The fee.
  • The usage.
  • The payment terms.

So why are you opening a blank document and typing everything again? Agreement takes the terms already recorded in Klairova, turns them into the agreement, gets both sides to sign electronically and keeps the signed version where you can find it again.

  • No printing.
  • No scanning.
  • No:
  • "Please find attached."
  • "Kindly sign and return."

"Just following up on the agreement."

The problem

A lot of creator and brand work happens without a proper agreement.

  • Not because either side doesn't want one.
  • Because making one feels like work.
  • Find a template.
  • Change the clauses.
  • Rewrite the deliverables.
  • Copy the fee.
  • Add the dates.
  • Export the PDF.
  • Email it.
  • Wait.
  • Chase.
  • Get the signed copy back.
  • Save it somewhere.
  • And six months later:
  • "Do you remember what we agreed?"
  • So the agreement gets skipped.
  • The terms stay in WhatsApp.
  • Or email.
  • Or a voice note.
  • Or someone's memory.
  • It usually works.
  • Until there is a disagreement.

And when money is involved, that's exactly when you discover why having it in writing mattered.

Agreement starts after the deal

Agreement isn't where you figure out what the deal is.

  • That happens before.
  • Maybe you started with a Brief.
  • Maybe it came through a Campaign.
  • Maybe the terms were negotiated directly.
  • By the time you create the Agreement, the important things are already known.
  • What is being delivered.
  • When it is due.
  • How much it costs.
  • What usage is included.
  • When payment is due.

Agreement takes those terms and puts them into a formal document both sides can sign. That distinction matters. You shouldn't have two versions of the deal. The conversation shouldn't say one thing.

The brief another. The agreement another. The signed document should reflect what was actually agreed.

The four things that cause most disputes

Deliverables

  • Exactly what is being produced.
  • Not:
  • "Social content."
  • But:
  • 1 Reel.
  • 2 Stories.
  • 3 still images.
  • Specific numbers.
  • Specific outputs.

Timelines

  • When drafts are due.
  • When feedback is due.
  • When final delivery happens.
  • When the content goes live.

Because "we'll get back to you" is not a timeline.

Usage

What the brand can do with the content.

Where they can use it. How long they can use it. This matters because usage is not automatically included just because the content has been delivered.

Payment

  • How much.
  • In what currency.
  • When it is due.

A payment term written into a signed agreement is much more useful than:

"Don't worry, we'll pay you."

The Agreement should reflect the deal

This sounds obvious.

  • It isn't.
  • A common problem is that the brief says one thing and the contract says another.
  • The creator thinks they agreed to:
  • Two Reels.
  • The agreement says:
  • Three.
  • The brief says:
  • Organic usage.
  • The agreement says:
  • Worldwide paid usage.
  • The creator thinks payment is due in 14 days.
  • The agreement says:
  • 30.
  • Now there are two versions of the truth.
  • That's worse than having no agreement.

Agreement is built around the terms already recorded so the document reflects the deal instead of introducing a new one.

For creators

Know exactly what you agreed to.

  • Get the scope in writing.
  • Protect against quiet scope expansion.
  • Know when payment is due.
  • Know what usage you've granted.
  • Keep the signed agreement somewhere you can actually find it.
  • And when someone says:
  • "Can we just add one more thing?"
  • you have somewhere to look.

For brands

Get the commercial relationship documented before work begins.

  • Your marketing team knows:
  • What the creator is delivering.
  • When it is due.
  • What your brand can use.
  • How long you can use it.
  • What you're paying.
  • When you're paying it.

And the agreement remains available after the person who negotiated the deal leaves the company.

For publishers

  • The same infrastructure works when the deal is about:
  • Placement.
  • Sponsorship.
  • Deliverables.
  • Campaign dates.
  • Payment.
  • Usage.

Instead of managing each advertiser's terms through scattered documents and email threads, the agreement becomes part of the commercial record.

How it works

From agreed terms to signed Agreement

Agree the work

The deal takes shape through a Brief, Campaign or another commercial conversation.

The terms are recorded.

Generate the Agreement

Agreement uses those terms to create the document. You don't start by typing everything again.

Review it

Both sides can review the terms. If something is wrong, fix it before signing.

Both sides sign

  • Sign electronically inside the platform.
  • No printing.
  • No scanning.
  • No physical paperwork.

The Agreement is stored

The signed version stays in your Klairova records.

Find it when you need it

  • Months later, you can find the agreement again.
  • Even if the person who negotiated it has left.
  • Even if the campaign is long finished.
  • Even if nobody remembers which email contained the final PDF.

Three ways to use Agreement

Stop scope creep

  • A brand agrees to:
  • 1 Reel.
  • 2 Stories.
  • Then asks for another Reel and five stills.
  • The creator doesn't have to argue from memory.
  • The signed agreement says exactly what was agreed.
  • The additional work becomes an additional commercial conversation.

Make payment terms mean something

  • A creator agrees to a ₦450,000 campaign with payment due within 14 days.
  • The agreement records the amount, currency and payment term.
  • If payment is late, the creator isn't saying:
  • "Please, I'm begging you."
  • They're pointing to the commercial terms both sides signed.

Keep the deal alive after people leave

  • A marketing manager agrees a campaign.
  • Six months later, they leave.
  • A new person takes over.
  • The new person needs to know:
  • What did we agree with this creator?
  • The signed agreement is already there.
  • No archaeology through someone's inbox.
  • No guessing.
  • No:
  • "Ask James, he might know."

Agreement + Brief

The Brief defines the work.

Agreement formalises the commercial terms. The relationship should be:

Brief

What we're making.

Agreement

What both sides formally agreed to. The Agreement can be generated from terms already established in the Brief. That means the contract doesn't need to become a second, conflicting version of the brief.

Agreement + Campaigns

A Campaign is the wider commercial engagement.

  • Agreement is the formal record of the deal inside it.
  • Campaign:
  • The work.
  • The creators.
  • The deliverables.
  • The progress.
  • The results.
  • Agreement:
  • The terms both sides signed.

Together, the commercial relationship stays connected instead of being scattered across separate tools.

Agreement + Content Licences

Usage can become complicated quickly.

  • A brand may want:
  • Instagram usage.
  • Website usage.
  • Email usage.
  • Print.
  • In-store.
  • Specific countries.
  • Specific duration.

Content Licences gives that usage its own structure. Agreement records the formal commercial relationship. They work together rather than forcing every usage detail into one giant paragraph nobody can find later.

Agreement + Ad Rights

A brand may also want to run creator content as paid advertising.

That's a different right. Agreement can establish the commercial relationship. Ad Rights defines the specific permission to run the creator's content as paid media.

  • Keep the distinction clear.
  • A content fee.
  • A content licence.
  • Ad Rights.

They can all have different commercial value.

Agreement + Invoice

  • The Agreement says:
  • What was agreed.
  • The Invoice says:
  • What is being billed.
  • For example:
  • Agreement:
  • ₦450,000 campaign.
  • 1 Reel.
  • 2 Stories.
  • Payment due in 14 days.
  • Invoice:
  • ₦450,000.

Now the invoice isn't appearing out of nowhere. It follows the deal.

Agreement + Wallet

Once money starts moving through the engagement, Wallet becomes the financial layer for the resulting earnings. Agreement defines the commercial terms.

Invoice requests payment. Wallet tracks the money. Payouts moves available funds to the creator's preferred payout account.

Agreement vs a word document

A Word document is a document.

Agreement is part of the commercial workflow.

Before you sign

A few things to know.

DON'T SIGN A DOCUMENT YOU HAVEN'T READ. The fact that the agreement was generated from existing terms doesn't mean you should blindly sign it. Review it. MAKE THE DELIVERABLES SPECIFIC. "Content" is vague. "One 60-second Instagram Reel and two Instagram Stories" is much harder to misunderstand. PUT USAGE IN WRITING.

  • If the brand can use the content:
  • Where?
  • For how long?
  • For what purpose?
  • Make it explicit.
  • SEPARATE PAID MEDIA FROM OTHER USAGE.

If a brand wants to run your content as paid advertising from your account, don't assume that a general usage clause covers it. That's what Ad Rights is for. AGREE PAYMENT TERMS BEFORE WORK STARTS.

  • Amount.
  • Currency.
  • Due date.
  • Everything should be clear before anyone starts producing.
  • MAKE SURE THE AGREEMENT MATCHES THE BRIEF.
  • If the Brief says two Reels and the Agreement says three, stop.
  • Fix it before signing.
  • DON'T TREAT THE AGREEMENT AS AN AFTERTHOUGHT.

The easiest agreement to enforce is the one everyone signed before the work started. USE A LAWYER WHEN THE DEAL WARRANTS ONE. Klairova makes creating, signing and storing agreements easier. It does not replace legal advice. For significant, unusual or legally complex deals, have a qualified lawyer review the terms.

Why Klairova

The creator economy has become sophisticated.

  • The infrastructure around it hasn't always kept up.
  • A brand hires a creator.
  • A creator delivers work.
  • Money changes hands.
  • Usage gets negotiated.
  • Rights get extended.
  • People change jobs.
  • Campaigns end.

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, there is usually a PDF buried in someone's inbox. It shouldn't work that way. The agreement should live where the deal lives. The terms should flow from what was already agreed. Both sides should sign the same document. And six months later, everyone should be able to find it.

  • That's what Agreement is for.
  • Not more paperwork.
  • Less ambiguity.

FAQ

What is Agreement?

Agreement is Klairova's tool for turning already-agreed commercial terms into a formal document that both sides can review and sign electronically.

What does an Agreement contain?

  • The core terms include:
  • Deliverables.
  • Timelines.
  • Usage.
  • Payment terms.

Other relevant commercial terms can be included as appropriate.

Who can use Agreement?

The feature is designed for both sides of creator and commercial relationships, including brands, creators and publishers.

Do I need to type the Agreement from scratch?

No. The Agreement workflow is designed to build the document from terms that have already been recorded in Klairova.

Why does that matter?

Because retyping agreed terms creates another opportunity for mistakes. If the Brief says one thing and the Agreement says another, you now have two versions of the deal.

Can I edit the Agreement before signing?

Yes. Both sides can review and adjust the terms before signing.

When is the Agreement final?

When both sides have signed it.

How do we sign?

Electronically inside Klairova. You don't need to print, scan or physically return the document.

Can both sides sign electronically?

Yes. The Agreement workflow is designed for both parties to sign electronically.

Can I find an old Agreement?

Yes. Signed agreements are stored and searchable so they can be found later.

Why is searchability important?

Because the person who negotiated the deal may not be the person managing it six months later. The agreement should remain accessible even when the people change.

Does Agreement replace a Brief?

No. The Brief defines the work and records the terms leading into the engagement.

Agreement formalises those terms.

Does Agreement replace a campaign?

No. A Campaign manages the wider engagement. Agreement is the formal record of the terms both sides signed.

Does Agreement include usage rights?

Usage can be included in the Agreement. For more structured management of content usage, Content Licences provides a dedicated layer for usage, territory and duration.

What is the difference between Content Licences and Agreement?

Agreement is the formal commercial document. Content Licences is the dedicated feature for defining and managing specific content usage rights.

They can work together.

What is the difference between Ad Rights and Agreement?

Agreement formalises the deal. Ad Rights handles the specific permission for a brand to run creator content as paid advertising.

Can an Agreement include payment terms?

Yes. Payment amount, currency and timing are among the core terms the Agreement is designed to record.

Can I connect an Agreement to an Invoice?

Yes. The Agreement establishes what was agreed. The Invoice handles the billing.

Can I create an Agreement from a campaign?

The Agreement workflow can be generated from terms already recorded through the relevant Klairova commercial workflow, including campaign-related terms.

Can I use Agreement for a brand-creator deal?

Yes. That is one of the primary use cases.

Can creators use Agreement with each other?

The feature is designed for commercial agreements between parties, and the same principle can apply to creator-to-creator commercial relationships where supported.

Can publishers use Agreement?

Yes. The product is also intended for publishers handling placement and sponsorship terms.

Is an electronic signature legally valid?

Electronic signatures are recognised in many jurisdictions, but the exact legal requirements vary. For significant or legally complex agreements, get advice appropriate to the relevant jurisdiction.

Do I need an Agreement for small jobs?

There is no universal rule that every engagement requires one. But a small job can still become a dispute. If the agreement can be generated and signed quickly, there is less reason to leave important terms in a chat thread.

Can I use my own Agreement template?

The current source describes agreements as being generated from terms already held in Klairova rather than specifying a custom-template workflow. Do not assume custom templates are supported unless the product implementation confirms it.

Can I use Agreement without a Brief?

The Agreement workflow is designed around terms already agreed, which can come from a Brief, proposal, campaign invitation or another commercial workflow.

A Brief is not the only possible starting point.

Does Klairova provide legal advice?

No. Klairova provides the infrastructure for creating, signing and storing agreements. For important or unusual legal arrangements, consult a qualified lawyer.

What happens after both sides sign?

The signed agreement is stored in Klairova and remains searchable. The commercial relationship can then continue through the relevant connected features, such as Campaigns, Invoices, Content Licences and Ad Rights.
