What to Include in a Creator Media Kit in 2026

A media kit is the document a brand uses to make the decision to work with you. Most media kits answer the wrong questions. Here's what belongs in one in 2026.

The media kit that closes brand deals in 2026 looks different from the one that worked in 2022. Four years ago, a polished PDF with your follower counts, engagement rate, and a few brand logos was sufficient to get shortlisted. Today, the brands running data-driven creator programmes are asking different questions: and a media kit that can't answer them gets filtered out before the conversation starts.

What a media kit is actually for

A media kit is not a portfolio, a CV, or a personal branding exercise. It's a decision document. A brand manager should be able to read your media kit, form a clear opinion on whether you're the right fit for a specific campaign, and have everything they need to take you to a budget decision internally: without asking you for additional information. If they have to email you for your rates, your audience demographics, or your past campaign results, your media kit has failed.

Section 1: The who and the what

Open with a clear, one-paragraph niche description and creator biography. Not your life story: the commercially relevant version. Who you are, what you cover, and who your audience is. Follow this with a headshot and three to five content examples (screenshots or embedded links) that represent your best brand collaboration work, not your most viral organic content. The brand wants to see what working with you looks like, not what your top organic post looks like.

Section 2: Audience data

Platform-by-platform: follower count, average views or impressions per post, engagement rate, and audience demographics (age, gender, location breakdown). This section should come from your native platform analytics: screenshots or exported data. If you have multiple platforms, lead with the strongest one for the campaign type you're pitching. Do not aggregate across platforms in a way that inflates a single reach number: brands notice, and it undermines trust in everything else in the document.

Section 3: Past campaign performance (the section most media kits skip)

This is the section that separates media kits that close deals from media kits that get politely acknowledged. If you have attribution data from past campaigns: click-through rates, signup conversions, cost per acquisition: include it here, by campaign or by category. Even approximate numbers ("drove approximately 400 signups for a fintech client at a 3.8% click-to-signup rate") are significantly more compelling than no conversion data at all.

If you don't have this data yet, this is the clearest argument for starting to track it now. Every campaign you run without attribution tracking is a missed entry in the section of your media kit that closes the most deals.

The media kit section that moves brand decisions fastest isn't the one with your follower count. It's the one that shows what happened the last time a brand paid you to drive action. Build that section first.

Section 4: Rates and services

Include your rate card or a clear pricing table. Brands who can't see your rates in your media kit will ask: and the conversation is more efficient when the numbers are already on the table. Include your services by platform and format, your usage rights pricing, and a note on custom campaign structures if you're open to performance-based deals. Link to your full rate card for the complete breakdown.

Section 5: Contact and next steps

End with a direct contact method, a booking link for discovery calls, and any relevant brand exclusivity policies. Make it easy for the brand to take the next step without composing a cold email. A media kit that gets to the end and leaves the brand wondering what to do next has done 90% of the work and dropped the ball at the last step.

Give brands a media kit that answers every question.
