e) Customer Data and Advertising

Klairova lets you send your own conversions to your own advertising account and build audiences from your own customers. Because that involves other people's personal data, the following are prohibited:

  • Sending us customer email addresses or phone numbers you do not have a lawful basis to share, or that were collected without the notice or consent your local law requires
  • Sending customer data belonging to a business you do not own or operate
  • Using conversion forwarding or audience building to target people who have asked that business to stop contacting them
  • Building an audience from data you obtained anywhere other than your own customers and your own campaigns on Klairova
  • Sending us data about children, or special-category data such as health, religion, sexual orientation, or political views, for advertising purposes
  • Passing customer data to us for any purpose other than measuring and improving your own advertising

You are the controller of the customer data you choose to send, and you are responsible for having the right to send it. We hash email addresses and phone numbers on arrival and never store the plain values, but that does not replace your own obligation to collect the data lawfully in the first place.

f) Contacts Obtained Through Klairova

  • Sending unsolicited marketing to people whose contact details you obtained through a Klairova-hosted sale, where they have not agreed to hear from you or where your local law requires consent you do not have
  • Continuing to contact someone who has unsubscribed or asked you to stop
  • Selling, renting, or passing on a customer list obtained through Klairova to a third party
  • Using another seller's customers, or contacts visible to you through a shared campaign, for your own marketing

5. Payment Flow and Campaign Credits

Klairova operates a prepaid campaign credits model. When a brand or creator funds a campaign, they are purchasing campaign management services from Klairova. Klairova then disburses payments to creators as part of that service. The following rules apply:

  • All campaign payments must correspond to a real, active campaign on the platform
  • Brands and creator campaign owners must only fund campaigns they intend to run with real participants
  • Creators must only claim payouts for work they have genuinely performed
  • Klairova reserves the right to delay or withhold payouts pending fraud review or dispute resolution
  • Chargebacks or payment reversals initiated without valid cause may result in account suspension

Creator-Initiated Campaigns

Creators on Klairova may also create and fund their own campaigns, acting as the campaign owner rather than a participant. When doing so:

  • The creator assumes all obligations of a brand/campaign owner under this policy
  • The creator must have completed their KYC (address, NIN, and Tax ID) before funding a campaign
  • Campaign funds must be sourced from legitimate, verifiable income only
  • Using creator-initiated campaigns as a mechanism to move money without genuine marketing activity is prohibited

6. KYC and Identity Verification

Klairova collects identity information before enabling payment features, in compliance with applicable financial regulations and to protect the integrity of the platform.

All Users

  • Full legal name and valid email address
  • Date of birth (minimum age: 16 for brands and agencies; 13 for creators)
  • Country of residence

Creators

Before receiving payouts or funding creator-led campaigns, creators must provide:

  • Residential address
  • National Identification Number (NIN)
  • Tax Identification Number (TIN), obtainable at taxid.jtb.gov.ng
  • Bank account details (for payout)

Registered Businesses (Brands / Companies)

Registered companies must provide:

  • Business registration type (Business Name or Limited Company)
  • CAC registration number (BN or RC number)
  • Corporate Tax Identification Number (TIN)

Unregistered Businesses (Freelancer)

Unregistered businesses are permitted on the platform under a Freelancer account classification. They must provide the same individual KYC as creators (address, NIN, personal Tax ID). Klairova strongly encourages formalisation with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and will display a persistent reminder to do so on their dashboard until they complete registration.

Providing false identity or business registration information is a violation of this policy and may constitute a criminal offence under applicable Nigerian law.

7. Dispute Resolution

Klairova provides an in-platform support system for resolving disputes between brands and creators. In the event of a dispute:

  • Either party may raise a dispute via the support chat accessible from their dashboard
  • Klairova will review the attribution data, campaign records, and communications between the parties
  • During a dispute review, affected funds may be frozen pending resolution
  • Klairova's decision on disputes is final, though users may escalate to relevant consumer protection bodies in their jurisdiction
  • Frivolous or bad-faith dispute filings may result in account penalties

8. Monitoring and Enforcement

Klairova uses automated fraud detection to monitor attribution events, payment patterns, and account behaviour in real time. We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate any account that violates this policy
  • Withhold or reverse payments associated with fraudulent or policy-violating activity
  • Report suspicious activity to our payment providers, relevant financial regulators, and law enforcement where required
  • Block IP addresses or devices associated with repeated violations
  • Permanently ban users who engage in serious or repeated violations

9. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of activity on Klairova that violates this policy, including fraud, abuse, or illegal content, please report it immediately to: [email protected]

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. You may report anonymously if you prefer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time as the platform evolves or as regulatory requirements change. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-platform notification. Continued use of Klairova after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
